The shared shuttle takes about 1 hour, and even though you’ll be riding with other passengers, the shuttle will still take you directly to your hotel.

A private transfer is the best option if you want to travel comfortably and be taken to your final destination.
Booking a private transfer guarantees a comfortable and enjoyable journey! In addition, you will be greeted by an English-speaking driver who will assist you with your baggage and take you to the air-conditioned vehicle.
Private transfers can accommodate up to 16 passengers, so we recommend this option if you are traveling with a big group!
This way, once the cost is split among the group, the journey is affordable and worth the price!
So, organize your trip and book your private transfer online today!
Prices for a private transfer:
- 1-7 passengers: USD 59
- 8-10 passengers: USD 63
- 11-16 passengers: USD 114
4. Rental Car
Journey Duration: ~20 minutes
You can rent a car at the airport once you arrive; driving your vehicle is likely the most convenient way. However, we strongly advise making your car reservation in advance to get a better deal!
However, before you decide to rent a car, find out if there is a place where you can leave it or park it at your accommodation, and check if your car rental company includes exploring the area beyond Cancun.
If you intend to stay at the hotel most of the time, relax, and go to the beach, you probably won’t use your car much, so renting would be a waste of money.
However, having your vehicle is very helpful if you intend to travel the Yucatan Peninsula by car or take day trips to nearby attractions!
It will give you all the freedom to explore and travel at your own pace, without tying you to public transport schedules!
So, if you’re ready to embark on a Mexican adventure, renting a car from Cancun Airport to Cancun is the option!
5. Taxi
Journey Duration: ~20 minutes
While taking a taxi is another option, it’s certainly not recommended.
If taking a taxi is your last-minute choice, remember that most taxis don’t have a meter, and you’ll have to negotiate to get a fair price, as taxi scams are frequent.
Once you land at Cancun Airport, many taxis outside offer their services. If you have no choice and still decide to get one, expect the cost to be around USD 45.
If someone decides to charge you way more than this, it’s better to get a private transfer, bus, or shuttle!
