Experience comfort and convenience at PARKROYAL Yangon. Discover spacious rooms, a serene club lounge, modern gym, great dining, and a prime central location.
PARKROYAL Yangon is one of those hotels that strikes a perfect balance between comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality.
Located just minutes from Yangon’s Central Train Station and close to the city’s top cultural sites, it makes a great base for both leisure and business travelers.
I recently spent a few nights at the hotel and had the chance to explore everything from the modern gym and relaxing pool to the Orchid Club Lounge and the diverse dining options.
Here’s my personal review of PARKROYAL Yangon, including details on the rooms, restaurants, location, and what made my stay stand out.
Location
The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, just a 5-minute walk from the Central Train Station.
Major tourist attractions in Yangon are no more than 10 minutes away by taxi.
This makes it an ideal base if you want to explore the city’s cultural and historical sites without spending too much time in transit.
Rooms & Suites

PARKROYAL Yangon offers seven types of rooms and suites, each designed for comfort and convenience.
I stayed in the Orchid Club Room situated on the top floor.
The spacious layout provided ample room for comfort and relaxation. The bed was comfortable, and the large smart TV was perfect for movie nights.
The room also featured a big desk with a very comfortable chair.
An exclusive perk of the Orchid Club Room was the access to the club lounge (more about the lounge later!).
Additionally, offering one piece of complimentary laundry per guest was a thoughtful touch. If you travel a lot, you will understand the appreciation of easily accessible laundry service.
Orchid Club Lounge

The Orchid Club Room I stayed in offered exclusive access to the Orchid Club Lounge.
One of the conveniences is the ease and speed of check-in, which I could do directly at the lounge’s counter.
The quiet lounge features various sitting areas well-suited for reading or working.
Additionally, the lounge is equipped with two large screens. As I was the only guest in the lounge most of the time, I could choose my preferred TV programs.
The lounge provides a range of complementary refreshments throughout the day, including coffee, tea, soft drinks, and cookies.
The service in the Orchid Club Lounge is excellent! The team did their best to help me with all my requests and questions!
Happy Hour at the Orchid Club Lounge

The Orchid Club Lounge offers a daily happy hour from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
During Happy Hour, guests are treated to various complimentary alcoholic beverages. The selection includes beer, gin, whiskey, rum, vodka, and cocktails.
Additionally, Happy Hour is complemented by a range of canapés. The options include cheese, salads, spring rolls, and sweets.
If you are vegetarian, you can request vegetarian meals.
Breakfast at the Orchid Club Lounge

The Orchid Club Lounge offers a quieter, more exclusive setting for breakfast. It is an alternative to the Spice Brasserie restaurant.
At the lounge, you can enjoy an à la carte breakfast.
You can still order as much as you desire, with the added convenience of being served at your table.
I preferred having breakfast at the buffet restaurant for its wider variety of choices and the ability to see all the available food options.
Gym

The gym is well-equipped, featuring a range of well-maintained cardio and weight machines.
An added benefit is a trainer who is ready to assist and guide.
The natural daylight creates a refreshing and energizing atmosphere, enhancing the workout experience.
A standout feature is the locker rooms, which are equipped with a sauna and a steam room, providing a perfect way to relax after a workout.
Pool

The outdoor pool offers a refreshing retreat from the city’s bustling streets.
The sunbeds next to the pool are a great place to relax, and you can order drinks directly at the pool bar.
Restaurants & Bars
PARKROYAL has four restaurants and bars catering to both in-house guests and visitors from outside.
I enjoyed breakfast at the Spice Brasserie and checked out the SILVER MOON Bar/ Nightclub in the hotel’s basement during my stay.
Spice Brasserie
Opening times: 6.00am to 9.00pm

Spice Brasserie offers local and international cuisines.
It is on the ground level and has a relaxed and casual ambiance.
Breakfast

The breakfast buffet offers an extensive selection of dishes catering to various tastes.
The a la carte options include freshly prepared egg dishes, pancakes, and other sweet treats, adding a personalized touch to the morning meal.
SILVER MOON Bar/ Nightclub
Opening times: 6.00pm onwards, closed on Sundays and Mondays

SILVER MOON is a bar/ nightclub in the hotel basement.
The highlight of the evening I visited the bar was the live performance by a talented Filipino band, which added a vibrant energy to the atmosphere.
The bar is conveniently located in the hotel’s basement and is easily accessible, providing a seamless experience for hotel guests.
As a bonus, hotel guests receive a discount, which is a thoughtful touch.
The bar’s ambiance is enhanced by its excellent acoustics and lighting, although I found the music volume a bit high for my liking.
