Crystalbrook Vincent Hotel Review: A 5-star stay in Brisbane’s CBD with stunning river views, a rooftop pool, and bold design for a memorable experience.

From the moment we arrived at Crystalbrook Vincent, we knew we were in for something special.

The hotel’s bold design, vibrant atmosphere, and prime location along the Brisbane River made it an exciting choice.

Vincent offered the perfect balance between city energy and riverside relaxation. Every corner of the hotel felt thoughtfully designed, creating an experience that was as visually striking as it was comfortable.

Booking Process

Booking a stay at Crystalbrook Vincent was easy and straightforward. The website was simple to navigate, and confirmation came through instantly.

We signed up to their crowd program to get an additional 10% off the room rates.

Getting there

Crystalbrook Vincent is conveniently located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, specifically within the vibrant Howard Smith Wharves precinct.

The hotel is nestled beneath the iconic Story Bridge, offering stunning views of the Brisbane River. The two easiest ways to get to Vincent from the airport are:

  • By Car: Crystalbrook Vincent is approximately a 20-minute drive from Brisbane Airport, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving interstate or internationally
  • Public Transport: If you prefer to take public transport – the airport train line is only 30 minutes to the city. You can get off at Fortitude Valley station and walk about 1k to the hotel

Check-in

From the moment we walked in, the hotel’s energy was undeniable. The vibrant artwork, and lively atmosphere set the vibe immediately.

Check-in was smooth, staff was attentive and took care of everything efficiently.

First impressions? The place had personality, and we couldn’t wait to explore more.

Moving from check-in to your room, large artworks of famous Australians such as Heath Ledger, Asher Keddie, and Guy Pearce line the walls which we thought made for quite interesting hotel decor and a conversation starter.

Room – River King Room

We opted for the River King Room at Vincent specifically to get a view of the bridge & river.

Stepping into our room, that’s definitely the first thing that caught our attention. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed the Brisbane River perfectly, with a clear and stunning view of the Story Bridge.

The room itself felt modern and inviting, with a layout that made great use of the space. The bed was plush and comfortable, and we loved the pops of colour and bold artwork on the walls.

The bathroom, with its walk-in rainforest shower was modern, clean and spacious, with lots of counter space for all our toiletries.

Other amenities in the room included a Nespresso machine with recyclable pods, a 55″ HD Smart TV with casting for video streaming, and fast, free Wi-Fi.

We enjoyed using the Google Chromecast to cast Youtube/Netflix right from our phones too – convenient and easy way to wind down without having to scroll through crappy hotel TV.

The blackout blinds also made the room SO dark at night – was such a good sleep.

Facilities

The rooftop infinity pool was the real showstopper. Sitting back in the water with a view of the Brisbane River and city skyline was an unforgettable experience.

Even in the evening, the pool had a great vibe, with the lights from the bridge adding to the atmosphere.

The gym had a decent selection of equipment for a quick workout, including a treadmill, some ellipticals, bikes, dumbbells and a pull down machine. Nothing fancy but gets the job done.

Food & Beverage

Fiume Rooftop Bar

We started our first evening at Fiume Rooftop Bar, and it didn’t disappoint. The cocktails were enjoyable, and the open-air seating is a nice vibe when there’s good weather.

The atmosphere was relaxed yet sophisticated, perfect for enjoying the river views during sunset. We end up trying 4 cocktails before heading out to the city for dinner.

Signing up for Crystalbrook’s loyalty program, The Crowd, also proved to be a great decision, as it offered a 10% discount on their restaurants and cafes—a nice bonus perk!

Mews

Breakfast at Mews was pretty good too. The menu had a solid mix of options, and the food was tasty.

Service was prompt without feeling rushed, and the overall experience was a great way to start the day.

Overall Experience

Crystalbrook Vincent stands out for its personality, views, and prime location. The combination of a bold aesthetic, friendly service, and great location made for a memorable stay.

The rooftop pool and bar added a level of indulgence, and the river views never got old. If you’re looking for a hotel that blends style with a great location, this is one to consider.

Would we stay again? Without a doubt.
